What a joy it is to watch my child in the arms of his grandparents and great-grandparents--smiling, laughing, healthy.
What a joy it is to watch my husband tear up while watching a Black man accept the nomination for President of the United States from a major political party. Even more a joy for me that he did it while holding our sleeping son, Emmett, on the anniversary of another Emmett's death. (not to mention the anniversary of Dr. King's speech.)
You should watch the speech from tonight too.

It was really a great speech! And love the pic of Justin and Emmett. So cute! He's such a good dad.
What a joy it is to see your daughter and son in law with such a blessed boy. God delivered this little boy into her family and He has big plans for him. It is exciting to see America accepting a Black man as a presidential candidate. Wow! that is big and hopefully it is a look into a brighter future for all people. We have a long way to go racially in this country but witnessing this accepting moment does give me an extra hope for Emmett Adu's world.
